This is a “Dynamic Rail Grinding Asset”. A streamer working on their game ran into issues with physics in the engine tossing their character unpredictably when it came to multiple connected meshes.

I created an asset that would allow them to fake the collision for any mesh regardless of shape.

Now they can just assign a spline mesh and use it how they see fit. This opened up more possibilities than they previously had for level design.
